Here is my scouting report on Devin Bush, LB out of Michigan:
- Incredibly quick
- Freak athlete
- Lays the hammer and hits well
- Average hustle even though he has sideline-to-sideline speed
- Pursuit angles need to be worked on.
- Can knife through blocking paths and people with ease
- Can blitz off the edge or through the A-gap
- Want him to use his hands better to get rid of trash at his feet
- Played a lot in zone coverage but has elite man coverage fluidity to cover TEs and RBs
- Good read-to-react for determining run versus pass and pass versus run
- He doesn’t like to take on blocks from OL head-on
- Has to fix issues with angles and how it corresponds to tackling (at feet or missing)
- Going to miss tackles in the NFL dealing with NFL speed but he has the upside with his pass coverage ability
- Drop him as your Mo or WILL LB and he’s going to be amazing in that role
- Can carry seam receivers down the field
